Clinical study on the Analgesic and Antiinflanmatory effect of Surgam^(®) (tiaprofenic acid), in Neurosurgical Patients

Abstract

|
Clinical study´ on the analgesic and antiinflammatory effects of Surgam® (tiaprofenic acid) was done in the neurosurgical patients. The study was non-comparative and total number of the patients was 30. Overall efficacy was 63.6% and the investigator´s and patient´s evaluation of Surgam® (tiaprofenic acid) was good in 66.7% and 50.0%, respectively. Adverse reaction was found in only 3 pateints and not serious.
In conclusion, Surgam® (tiapiofenic acid) was relatively effective in relief of pain and edema with good tolerance in neurosurgical area.
